Mayer Yarra Valley Merlot is sourced from a vineyard along St Huberts Road on the Yarra Valley floor. Timo Mayer is a small producer making hand crafted, single vineyard wines.

He believes wines are made in the vineyard. In typical Mayer fashion, all the fruit is fermented as whole bunches and there is little interference during the winemaking process. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Dark purple, Mayer Yarra Valley Merlot has dark cherry and plum fruit flavours and fine, mineral tannins. Cellaring potential is five years.
